One of OYO's business objectives is to leave a better global environment for future generations. To achieve this objective, we have set OYO environmental policies and constantly develop, design and manufacture products with the impact of our business and products on the environment in mind.

Lead in soldering which leaks out of disposed electronic devices, which are our main products, have a serious impact on the environment and the regulation on lead release is being strengthened worldwide. We have been trying to operate solders as efficiently as possible with the target of reducing lead-containing soldering since 2001. We also carry out various examinations and discussions on this issue, selection of solderings, expenditure on new facilities, trial manufacture with standard substrates, reliability tests and training of employees. Currently, we manufacture half of our products with lead-free soldering to meet the demands of our customers.
Furthermore, our designing and purchasing departments are proceeding to make materials purchased and stock responsive to European RoHS regulations and Chinese RoHS regulations, which regulate the use of 6 toxic substances including chromium hexavalent and cadmium.
